Countless musicians have used Kay electrics and acoustics over the years, and as much as I would love to post them here, I don't want to encounter any copyright issues by doing so. So I'll just upload some of my own recordings of some famous songs (and others not so famous, as I wrote them). Below you will find several songs recorded with some of the vintage guitars seen on the site. It should be known that the player below degrades the sound quality a bit, so if you want to download higher quality mp3 files of any of these songs (or read more about them) scroll down the page a bit...

Here's my relatively slow (and poorly sung) rendition of a Hank Snow's "A Fool Such as I", written by Bill Trader in the early 1950's. I used a little Kay children's acoustic guitar and a Kay Value Leader through a vintage Japanese Decca amp...

A fantastic ballad, "Long Black Veil" was first recorded by Lefty Frizzell in 1959. In my recording, I used a Kay Value Leader archtop (acoustically and electrically) through a 1980's Fender solid state amp...

Another (unintentionally) slowed down cover of an old country gospel song. This time it is Hank William's 1948 "I Saw the Light" recorded with my 15 dollar Kay child's acoustic...

"Lovesick Blues" was written by written by Cliff Friend and Irving Mills in the early 1920's, but was popularized by Hank Williams with his 1948 recording of the song. I used a 1950's Kay children's acoustic...

"California Zephyr" is another song written by Hank Williams, though I'm not sure when he wrote it exactly (though it was obviously sometime before 1953). I used a Kay Value Leader archtop electric through a 1980's Fender solid state amp...

"The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" was written by Robbie Robertson for The Band, and was sung by Levon Helm on their self titled album, The Band, released in 1969. I used a Kay Value Leader archtop electric through a 1980's Fender solid state amp...

Here's a song I wrote about Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii. Nothing too exciting besides the guitar work that was inspired a bit by sections of the Kink's song "Shangri-La". I used the Kay children's acoustic and a Kay Value Leader (same guitar pictured in the header for this page)...

A short song of my own recorded on the 1950's Kay children's acoustic. Influenced by Tommy Cash's recording of Larry Murray's song "Six White Horses"...

A Canned Heat-esque song with some weak falsetto work, and a lot of sloppy distorted slide playing on a Kay Value Leader archtop. Someone commented on youtube that my voice sounded like "Skip James or Neil Young". I pretty bizarre and unjustified comparison, but I appreciated it, even if it was a sly insult on their part...

More nonsense recorded with a Hofner 164(iv) solidbody electric through the 1980's Fender solid state amp...
